Chasing the Dream...Day 209

Forgive me for not writing sooner. I have been really busy at both of my jobs and when I am not at work I try to spend time with some of the people in my life and maintain and nurture those relationships. But, I do have a lot of things coming up that I want to share with you as it relates to me chasing my creative dreams...

(Tentatively scheduled) November 9, 2009 I will be performing my new monologue at Joey's Comedy Club in Livonia, MI. I will confirm with you guys later.

I may or may not be throwing my name in the hat (literally) for Detroit Public Radio's version of the Moth program at Cliff Bells on November 5th. If I can solidify my story I want to share I will go for it. If not, I will be back at my usual first Thursdays poetry event at The Southfield Public Library, Poets, Pages and Scribes.

I also plan to release the winter edition of my newsletter, I Love LuLu a week before Thanksgiving. So, stay tuned for that!

Life is pretty good right now. I finally got a call from DC about a job. But, I won't go into detail because I have received calls before that haven't turned into anything when I was trying to leave the state a year ago. We'll see what happens. I am, however, in much better spirits than I was last week when I was feeling quite alone in my quest for media sucess. A lot of people who said they were going to help me do this or that with my books, for instance, didn't live up to their word. So, that means as always I have to figure this thing out by myself and figure out how I can get The Pillowcase printed. I also need to figure out the artwork for the cover of my book, Everything Is Not Enough. But, I will research and find my way. I am sure of it!

I will keep you updated on how my transition to DC is going later this week!

In the meantime, let's all keep pushing to make our dreams come true and I will talk to you later.

Goodnight.

xoxo
Sam
