Show Updates and a Bit of Catch-up (Day 820)

Here's the picture from my birthday when I attended press night for Mitch Albom's play, "Ernie." I was beyond happy to meet my favorite writer. Infact, I was so excited I thought my face was going to explode-I am sure you can tell by the picture. LOL

I hadn't posted this on my blog, but I tweeted and posted on Facebook in regards to a speech I was to give on behalf of Karmanos Cancer Institute. Unfortunately, I won't be giving it as they decided to let a nurse practitioner do it. And, that is for the best as they are experts. I will, however, still attend the event at English Gardens in Royal Oak, MI on July 14th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and I hope you will join me.

I will be in Merrillville, IN at Wisecrackers on June 24 and 25 hosting the comedy show there. The show starts at 8 p.m. at 800 East Lincoln Hwy, Merrilleville, IN. If you are in the area. I hope to see you there!

Lastly, I just want to express how impressed I have been this 2010/2011 theater season. It has been such a joy interviewing local artists and writing theater advances for some of the amazing professional and community venues around town. I hope you will take the time to read some of my pieces by clicking on the links in the right margin of this blog underneath the title that says, "Links to Sam White's Articles."

Metropolitan Detroit and Michigan as a whole has some of the most talented, dedicated and passionate people in the world. I feel so lucky to have met some of them and so excited to meet more of them as we say goodbye to the current season and prepare for the 2011/2012 season.

I will be reviewing "The Last Five Years" at Andiamo Novi Theatre this evening and I hope you will stay tuned to this blog for that review. (You can find my advance for the show in the right margin of this blog)

Please subscribe to this blog by scrolling to the bottom of the page and clicking on the "subscribe" button in the right margin.

I hope to bring you even more advances, interviews and reviews for next year's promising theater season.
