Back to it

Hi guys,

Sorry I haven't written any new blogs recently. But, I hope you have been checking out my theater reviews. There have been some really great shows here in the Detroit area and there are more to come.

Next week, I will be checking out "Memphis' at The Fisher and "Bat Boy" at Wayne State's Bonstelle Theatre. I love the wonderful mix here in this city. You can go see a touring Broadway production then go see an amazing production at a smaller or university theater. It's SO dope! Love. Love. Love it!

But, I am not just a theater critic. And reviewing shows, while I love it, is not the breadth of my writing aspirations. I want to be a successful author and a good writer. I mean, a really solid, prolific, thought-provoking, heart-rending writer. I want to feel what I write and I want the people who read it to feel it, too.

So back to it!

I am editing my almost ten-year-old manuscript, "Everything Is Not Enough." And I am working on the next one. Ooh, the next one! It's going to be a good one ya'll :-)

I'm also working on outlining a new children's book and tweaking a book I wrote when I was 12.

No more excuses! This is the year I finally self-publish my books and we'll see where it takes me.

My dream? I would love to write my books full-time. Now, don't get it confused. I will always have my butt in a theater seat. So you will always see a critique from me in somebody's newspaper. But, I want to write books. I want to go on tour. I want to connect with people through my words and express what is in my imagination and in my heart.

Thank you guys so much for reading this blog and receiving a part of my head and heart here.

I hope that you will stay tuned and when "Everything Is Not Enough" drops, you won't be able to get enough of it.

See you in bookstores!

- Sam
